it's been almost a year. hello i've returned from the war of traveling endlessly and following bts around the country on tour, not to mention pit stops in vancouver, seoul, and tokyo. now for the end of the year i have a planned trip to colorado for mountain time that i desperately need because i live in the south and it's unbelievably hot and terrible. and i'll be hitting up europe for the first time ever over the new year, namely london, paris, and rome. i was going to try and squeeze in florence too but in two weeks i think three cities is already ambitious enough. i'll be heading back to italy in may anyways, venice specifically. mayhaps this also means i've got a lot of credit card debt to sort out before my 0% interest runs out, but that's life isn't it?
anyways, that's my excuse for not updating this journal at all in the interim. somehow i've managed to rack up about six different countries and several cities upwards of about 20. well traveled is one of the only adjectives i've always wished i could describe myself with so i guess that's something to put on the tombstone, amirite? maybe i don't have a real career or full time job, maybe i don't have direction, but hey i travel.
more importantly, while i might not have gotten certified in any capacity for future career prospects, i have participated in nanowrimo, accidentally. i was struck with The Urge and pumped out about 20k in one sitting (a terrible 36hr binge). then i guess i just kept going and now here we are? i've written about 62k of a supernatural fic, and trust i'm just as surprised as you are. this is a result of a panic that came along with the announcement of supernatural's final season, and i, former superfan in my teenage years, was suddenly struck with the unmitigable urge to marathon all 14 seasons (mind you i stopped watching in s10 when they took demon dean from me in 3 episodes.) it renewed my love for sam and dean, and now here i am cranking out a fic like it's nobody's business. i'm rather proud.
i hope to finish the fic before i go to europe at the end of december and post it up in january before the winter hiatus ends. ideally, i'd like to finish the writing itself before i go to colorado with my siblings (somehow my two brothers are tagging along, but hey that means i'm saving money) because i plan to marathon nbc hannibal there. i know i might lose my sam and dean inspo if i don't force it out of me beforehand. wish me luck, i imagine it'll be a break-neck pace because the fic isn't even at the half way point and i leave for colorado in two weeks.
but well, that's all i have to update on in my life for now. i have many questions about my future, and my job, and all that lovely stuff. i'm really invested in US politics lately too. i'll be writing up some posts on that later i think once my writing binge is finally culled. i also watched bts win every single grand prize at the melon music awards and wanted to cry from how much i love those seven babies. their performance was literal perfection and i think you should definitely check it out if you care at all about dance, art, or stage presence when it comes to musical lives.
i have spoken.
(did i mention i'm in love with baby yoda?)
